Greater Jakarta BKSP Plenary Meeting Produces Three Cooperation Agreements

Alhamdulillah, the meeting is done in this afternoon and signed several agreements

Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, officially closed the plenary meeting of Greater Jakarta Coordination Board (BKSP Jabodetabekjur) themed 'Collaboration on Handling Air Pollution for Economic, Health and Environmental Efficiency in the Pattern Room, Block G, Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (12/12).

During the meeting, as many as 12 government representatives agreed on three collaborations. They are the development and utilization of an integrated food security information system in the Greater Jakarta area; Park and Ride management in Cikarang and Bulan-Bulan areas, Bekasi Regency.

Anies Receives Position as Chairman of Greater Jakarta BKSP

"Alhamdulillah, the meeting is done in this afternoon and signed several agreements. We have a lot of homework. There are several work plans that will have to be finalized in the next BKSP discussion. But we expect you all can discuss real things that are needed in real terms," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

He explained that the BKSP planning challenges are discussions between institutions that involve representation of the regional head's vision and mission. Therefore, they should show the interests of joint development.

"The things that are discussed must be what we really need. If not, we only struggle with those things from year to year. To ensure everything goes well, improvements must continue to be made, especially in the aspect of vision. Surely we also do the same thing to ensure our visioning is the same," he expressed.

He furthered that Greater Jakarta area is a drive of the national economy, despite later Jakarta will no longer be the capital. Thus this area is expected to become a financial economic center that is moving, not only nationally, but to become a regional and global level region.

"So our cooperation must be more intensive, especially in the aspects of cross-regional. First is about transportation and second is about environment, moreover our theme today is about handling air pollution. Hopefully, in the next discussion, we can seriously anticipate it," he explained.

They are also hoped able to intensively continue collaboration that has been going well so far. Thereby they could be a productive forum in developing cross-regional development.
